Responsibilities

For over 75 years, Harlequin is the leading romance brand with a loyal fan-following all over the world!

 

We’re looking for a resourceful, creative, innovative individual to passionately pursue publishing initiatives for the Harlequin Brand in North America. In this role, you will collaborate with counterparts in editorial, direct reports, publishing teams and brand marketing teams to recommend and implement new product and go-to-market strategies including speed-to-market ideas that capitalize on market trends in the entertainment space in North America. You will continuously challenge the existing environment, finding new efficiencies, keeping an eye out for emerging opportunities and rapidly responding by pivoting internal processes or plans to meet new needs.

 

You are great at staying organized and meeting deadlines with exceptional project management skills and a proven track record of successfully leading and coordinating cross-functional teams to achieve shared project goals. Your strategic mindset, thirst for knowledge and need to discover the “why” to find solutions to problems inspires collaboration and communication across departments, ensuring seamless project execution and results monitoring.  Your passion for your programs is contagious, so much so that you’ll build excitement with a wide range of internal stakeholders, while communicating how your publishing efforts support the overarching brand business goals to drive brand awareness, equity and sales in North America.

Qualifications

The Ideal Candidate:

  • 5+ years of related experience working in a product management/marketing capacity
  • Post-secondary degree in Business/Marketing is as asset
  • Creative and innovative thinker who isn’t afraid to challenge the existing environment and possesses a strong drive for results and excellent communication skills
  • An analytical problem-solver, with the ability to effectively manage multiple projects and changing priorities
  • Drive to be on top of emerging content and market trends, and competitive activities
  • Experience in leading or participating in highly collaborative cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrable experience managing a product portfolio successfully
  • Ability to influence without the power of hierarchy and nurture professional relationships
  • Strong people management skills with the ability to coach, provide feedback and grow talent
  • Proficiency with Office 365
