Job Description

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

 

We are seeking a driven individual to join our dynamic Product Management team. As a Product Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the strategic planning, development, and management of our main commercial HVAC unitary products throughout their lifecycle. This role will also have direct responsibility for specialty unitary product lines such as unit heaters, split systems and/or specialty rooftop product lines. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, marketing, sales, and customer support, to ensure our product offerings meet market demands and drive customer satisfaction. We are looking to mold someone into a subject matter expert that will guide product development initiatives, analyze market trends, and champion product enhancements to maintain a competitive edge in the industry.

 

Product Strategy and Planning:

  • Support the development and execution of a comprehensive product strategy and roadmap aligned with our company objectives.
  • Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and customer feedback analysis to identify product opportunities and drive innovation.
  • Help define product requirements, features, and functionality based on market needs and collaborate with engineering teams for product development.

Product Management and Development:

  • Support product development lifecycle, from concept to launch, ensuring on-time delivery, quality, and cost-effective solutions.
  • Work closely with engineering teams to prioritize development of new features and products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create compelling product documentation, including specifications, user manuals, and training materials.

Commercialization Strategy and Support:

  • Collaborate with marketing teams to develop effective product positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Support sales teams by providing technical expertise, training, and product knowledge to drive successful product adoption and revenue growth.
  • Conduct product demonstrations, presentations, and customer training sessions to showcase product capabilities and benefits.
  • Gather and analyze customer feedback, market trends, and sales data to make data-driven decisions for product enhancements and improvements.

Industry Expertise and Market Awareness:

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, technologies, and regulations in the commercial HVAC industry.
  • Identify trends and communicate product line insights while developing action plans to drive business objectives.
  • Attend industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to build relationships, identify partnership opportunities, and stay ahead of competitors.

Qualifications

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • At least 2-3 years of direct product management in a manufactured product industry.
  • Engineering, design, application, or related experience, in the commercial HVAC industry preferred.

 

 

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM:

  • Basic knowledge of commercial HVAC systems and basic technical understanding of products.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Basic project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate technical terms to product features and customer value proposition.
